Dream Sign Maya Caldwell to Training Camp Contract

ATLANTA, GA (February 23, 2022) – The Atlanta Dream signed guard Maya Caldwell to a training camp contract, the organization announced today.

The 5-11 Caldwell was drafted by the Indiana Fever in the 2021 WNBA Draft (third round, 33rd overall) out of Georgia. With the Bulldogs, she was named to the 2021 SEC Conference All-Tournament Team after leading her team to the championship game, posting the best two-game stretch of her carer with 20 points against No. 17 Kentucky and 19 versus No. 2 Texas A&M.

With Spar Gran Canaria in Spain this season (LF Endesa, EuroCup), Caldwell is averaging 15.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals through 22 games so far. She is pacing her team in points, steals and minutes per game, and has registered five 20-point games and one double-double so far this season.
